Idea-Marathon System (IMS) will improve your work and revolutionize your life
The Idea-Marathon System was developed and continued by Takeo Higuchi in January 1984.and he has continued on it to this day.
IMS is a way of life that involves recording your own ideas at least one a day into a notebook. You can record any type of ideas as long as it is your own original ideas regardless of the field or topic.
IMS is a system which anybody can start. The system is the same regardless of age, sex, experience, nationality etc. Coming up with at least one new idea per day is not so difficult; and if you can create any original ideas and record them in your notebook you can develop your creative ability by yourself.
Most people have no difficulty coming up with new ideas on a daily basis, but sticking to it requires patience and perseverance. If you remember to do this every day before going to sleep, your patience will be rewarded, and you will find that it becomes easier and easier.
IMS Rules
- Create at least one idea every day.
- Write it down into your notebook with the shortest possible description.
- Take your notebook everywhere.
- Talk about your ideas to your family and colleagues and they will double your ideas.
- Write down the date and the number of each idea, with a «plus/minus» number (if you decide to create and record one idea per day). It is recommended that you also include the «category» of the idea (e.g. «Bag,» «Plan», «Software,»»Software,»»Car,»»Projet»)
- Include handwritten illustrations and drawings as much as possible.
- The most important thing is to continue practicing the IMS every day.
