The HSO Business and Computer Science School is entering into a long-term partnership with Rhino Innovation to position the Swiss education group as a leading provider of entrepreneurship and innovation management in the HF sector.
At Switzerland’s largest higher technical college in the field of business, over 4,500 active students are currently studying in over 30 different courses at 11 HSO locations in Switzerland. This offer is now being expanded by the entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship/innovation training courses developed by the Zurich education service provider Rhino Innovation.

By positioning ourselves as a leading provider of entrepreneurship and innovation, we are convinced that we can make an important contribution to the requirements of the managers of the future. With the skills you have acquired, you will be one of the best!”

‍Two new courses in the areas of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship/innovation

In order to keep this promise, the HSO is offering two new training programs: In the newly developed entrepreneurship course, active entrepreneurs teach students the essential steps and methods to develop a startup from its founding to an exit. This gives students the opportunity to obtain all the necessary skills and information they need from February 2022 within a certificate course (duration: 1 quarter) or from 2023 within the further training to become a qualified business economist HF (duration: 6 semesters). to become an entrepreneur and build a company sustainably.

As a second training program, the HSO is introducing the intrapreneurship/innovation management course, which focuses specifically on “being an entrepreneur in a company”. The students are shown the best and most current procedures and practical examples for promoting innovation within an SME. The ever-increasing demand for highly qualified innovation managers who can position and consolidate a company as a market leader in the long term makes this course a unique educational opportunity to gain a cross-sector unique selling point in the labor market in the shortest possible time. As with the entrepreneurship course, the intrapreneurship/innovation course will also be available both as a certificate course from February 2022 and as an integral part of the Diploma in Business Administration HF course from 2023. Chris Bargholz, co-founder and CEO of Rhino Innovation, is convinced: “Both courses are the best there is in the entire DACH region to really learn entrepreneurship and innovation. The combination of the scripts, slides and videos created specifically for the HSO, combined with the know-how of our lecturers, forms the basis for success.» As a logical continuation of these two new courses, an incubator program will be launched at the HSO at the same time, in which students will receive professional support in implementing their business ideas/startups. Here the focus is on topics such as creating a pitch deck, calculating your own business case, first real sales generation and aspects of company formation and financing.

Enormous innovative power

As the largest higher technical school in Switzerland in the field of business, the HSO Business and Information Technology School is positioning itself as the educational institute for training and further education in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation through the partnership with Rhino Innovation and the introduction of the two new courses. With this innovative power triggered, all parties involved hope to be able to make a significant contribution to the long-term promotion of Switzerland as a location for innovation and to soon be able to present their first successes.
