The first true Central Switzerland AI Hub was launched in an exclusive event held by the LAC² founders in the heart of Lucerne.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly present in our everyday lives. It is impacting every industry by changing the way companies use data for competitive advantage.
Lucerne AI & Cognitive Community (LAC²) is a newly founded non-profit association with the goal of helping companies, institutions and individuals operating in Central Switzerland to create value. LAC² supports the value creation of its members by making the latest AI technologies worldwide accessible and helping with their application. True to the motto “think globally – act locally”.
Mathias Lischer, Head of Promotion & FDI at Luzern Business commented:
“LAC² gives access to the new possibilities with Artificial Intelligence (AI) for companies in Central Switzerland. Now they discover, experience & implement AI with the support of LAC² and its members.”
LAC² aims to do this by creating a thriving ecosystem of AI providers & consumers. It’s about applying the technology, making the applications visible and encouraging others to do the same.
LAC² has set the following priorities for this:
1.) Build community
– Build a network and host events to share ideas & experiences around the application of artificial intelligence.
– Provide AI related information, content, success stories, newsletters, etc.
2.) Establish marketplace
– Provide low-threshold access to technology
– Bringing together providers and users of applied artificial intelligence.
3.) Set up a sandbox
– Try out and test technology & possibilities in own applications
– Obtain workshops and training from professionals and further test the possibilities
4.) Build ecosystem
– Build ecosystem in Central Switzerland that is necessary for the application of the technology
– Attract more providers and demanders to Central Switzerland and further diversify offerings
– Train specialists of tomorrow in Central Switzerland for Central Switzerland
