The Metaverse Music Festival is Decentraland’s biggest annual event. From 10th to 13th Artists from all over the world will be performing at the Metaverse on November 1st. A start-up from Switzerland is at the forefront this year. One of the 15 stages is being created and organized by the “Rocking Uniquehorns” from Zurich. The line-up also includes Swiss artists who will perform alongside Ozzy, Dilon and other world-famous acts in the Metaverse.
The festival area is created by different communities, and thus the community’s basic idea of web3 is taken up: instead of organizing the festival top-down, the responsibility for stage design, line-up and technical implementation lies with the individual communities.
Lucerne singer Alma Cilurzo will also be there, and preparations for the festival are in full swing for her too: “Preparation is just as essential for a Metaverse concert as it is for a real life event. Since I stream from home, I can fully immerse myself in the music. Individual arrival and event logistics are no longer necessary, »says the 36-year-old from Lucerne.
«We are very pleased that we were asked by the Decentraland Foundation. A large piece of land on the festival site was made available to us free of charge, which we can use to create a unique web3 experience for artists and audience – made in Switzerland, of course,» says Florian Müller, co-founder of the Rocking Uniquehorns.
The Metaverse and the blockchain technology on which it is based offer enormous potential, and not just for artists from Switzerland: new business models in which the artist is directly connected to his fans and where the fan base can expand and build independently of the location are suddenly possible.
Participation in the Metaverse Music Festival is free of charge, with a browser you can create an avatar via laptop or desktop access in just a few steps and take part in the festival. Registration with Decentraland is not necessary, the festival can be visited completely and free of charge with a guest account.
