These are the finalists of the Swiss Technology Award 2022

Nine promising innovations have been nominated in three categories for the final of the Swiss Technology Award 2022. The professional jury made an initial pre-selection from 53 applications. On November 23, 2022, the three winning companies will be announced at the Swiss Innovation Forum.
The Swiss Technology Award (STA) has been the most important technology prize in Switzerland for 34 years. In each of the three categories, one project is chosen that particularly convinces the jury with its above-average market potential and outstanding novelty value.

The finalists of the Swiss Technology Award 2022 are:

Category “Inventors”

• Limula: The start-up based in Lausanne in the canton of Vaud has set itself the task of making personalized cancer therapy, known as CAR-T cell therapy, affordable for patients.
• MyLeg: The Zurich-based start-up enables people with lower leg amputations to lead an almost normal and independent life without restrictions or pain.
• Tyrex: The research department at ETH Zurich uses a new type of chemistry to produce and improve cancer therapeutics. This approach will be used to develop and improve new and existing medicines.

Category «Start-ups (Rising Stars)»

• Isochronic: With its invention of a new, software-controlled robot system, the start-up based in the canton of Vaud enables a reduction in production space and an increase in production throughput for numerous sectors.
• PreComb Therapeutics: With its innovative 3DTwin® platform technology, the start-up PreComb Therapeutics has set itself the goal of finding the right therapy for every cancer patient.
• Sevensense Robotics: The start-up is a spin-off from ETH Zurich, which gives mobile robots eyes and a brain and thus solves its customers’ complex automation challenges in the areas of logistics and service robotics.

Industry Innovation category

• DuPont: With its technology-based products and innovative solutions, the international company based in the canton of Schwyz is helping to improve the mobility industry of the future.
• Jansen: The Jansen company, founded in 1923 and based in Oberriet in the canton of St. Gallen, develops, produces and sells steel profile systems and plastic products for the construction industry.
